Vienna-based Canadian soprano Sarah Marie Kramer is recognized for her performances in the dramatic soprano repertoire of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss. She has appeared in Wagner’s Ring des Nibelungen at Theater Basel as Gerhilde and the Dritte Norn, and was invited to the Semperoper Dresden to perform Helmwige in Die Walküre in Willy Decker’s celebrated Ring cycle under Christian Thielemann.
Her acclaimed debut as Sieglinde in Wagner’s Die Walküre at Longborough Festival Opera marked a significant milestone in her Wagnerian career. Known for the richness and power of her voice as well
as her commanding stage presence, she is increasingly recognized for her interpretations within the Wagnerian Fach.
